loving mother of seven, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2023. Venita was born in Centralia, Illinois on September 2, 1927. She raised her family in Rockford, Illinois and lived an extraordinary life filled with love and adventure. While raising her children, she found time for skiing, golf, and bridge.
A lifelong interest in fashion led her to a career in Women’s Wear. She began her career in Rockford at Connie’s. There she and her best professional friend, Elizabeth honed their skills in providing the highest quality fashion for the women of Rockford. She was a buyer with Sturtevant’s just prior to making her big move across country to Scottsdale, AZ.
In Scottsdale, she enjoyed a wonderful life of golf with the Rolling Hills Women’s Golf League, and bridge with several different bridge groups. She also enjoyed walking and lunching with her many friends. Summers were enjoyed in Pinetop, AZ where she was also joined by her extended family.
We will miss her energy and love of Life. Rest in Peace.
