Meredith Ann Grady, 38, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away peacefully at her family home in Scottsdale on January 19, 2023. Meredith was lovingly cared for by her mother, sister, brother and aunt. She was born in Phoenix,  Arizona—one of three children, graduated from Chaparral High School Class of 2002, then attended Scottsdale Community College. Meredith worked as a bartender at a number of restaurants and bars in Old Town and Phoenix (Pranksters Too, Side-Door, Zipps, OHSO, CBCB, Kovo and Uncle Bear’s Brewery) where she could always be spotted by her bright smile and long red ponytail.

Meredith was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Vance and Inez Heavilin, her father Brian Grady and her paternal grandparents, William and Janet Grady. She is survived by her mother Deborah Heavilin, sister Brianna (Scott) Tarczynski, twin brother Cameron, most adored nephew and niece Rhett & Brielle Tarczynski, uncle Steve (Cheryl) Heavilin, aunt Susan Heavilin, cousins Jennifer (Matt) Litterell, Rob (Kelly) Heavilin, Anderson (Courtney) Bolles, Vanessa (Dean) Anderson, uncle Bill (Susan) Grady and cousins Jen Grady & Steffanie (Bruce) Leete.

To quote her “favorite” brother-in-law Scott: “Meredith was a lot of things to a lot of people. Cherished Daughter. Loving Sister. Fun-Loving Aunt. Adored Niece & Cousin. To Meredith, family was everything—friends were like family and strangers were like friends. Her capacity for love was unfathomable. Whoever she was to you, know that she was loved, and that she loved you, too. Hate, anger and frustration are commonplace. Yet Meredith didn’t have a mean bone in her body. She would give everyone a second, third and fourth chance. The idea of pushing someone away or not sharing the joys of life with them, never crossed her mind.”
