Lucy Ruotolo (Parisi), 87 years old passed away on February 18, 2023. Lucy was born in Manhattan, New York on October 26, 1935 and has been a resident of Arizona for 44 years. Lucy was a product of Catholic Parochial schools and after graduation from High School went to work in Manhattan as a secretary. Lucy was an executive secretary at ABC Paramount, located in Times Square in New York City when she retired to be a stay at home Mom in 1961 after the birth of her first son Michael. She met her husband Michael on a blind date on January 3, 1959 and married over a year and a half later on August 29, 1960. Michael later told her that he had decided he would marry her by their third date. Lucy was known as an excellent southern Italian cook who enjoyed entertaining. She was also an excellent dancer who loved to Jazzercise. With her husband Michael and two sons Michael and Fred she moved to Arizona for the weather and loved the desert. She spent many weekends hiking and exploring Arizona and New Mexico with her husband and sons in her younger days. She is survived by her husband Michael and two sons Michael (daughter-in-law Karen) Ruotolo and Fred Ruotolo and a brother Vito Parisi.
There will be a viewing at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary, Monday February 27th from 4-7 P.M. Mass will be at Our Lady of Joy Catholic Church, Tuesday February 28th at 10 A.M. followed by an interment at Holy Redeemer Catholic Cemetery. There will be a gathering later at Michael Ruotolo’s home.
