We are deeply saddened to share that Dr. Karam Makhni, a cherished individual, passed away on July 19th, 2023 in Scottsdale, AZ. He leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that touched the lives of many.
Karam was not only a devoted husband to Katrina Makhni, but also a loving father to his two wonderful children, Amara and Sienna. His place of birth was Harrogate, England, on January 18th, 1979, to his caring parents, Dr. Harvinder Singh and Gurmeet Kaur. His journey led him to pursue a career in medicine, and he completed his residency at Emory University in Atlanta in 2012. As a primary care physician at HonorHealth for the past 6 years, he was deeply adored by his many patients for the exceptional care he provided.
Beyond his profession, Karam enjoyed various passions in life, including biking, tennis, football (soccer), and travel. However, his most treasured moments were spent with family and friends, where his kindness and caring nature shone through.
Karam Makhni touched the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His warmth, compassion, and dedication as a husband, father, friend, and physician will forever be remembered.
In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by his brothers, Ranjeet (Therese) Makhni, and Harjas Makhni, as well as his nephew, Milo, and niece, Leah, whom he adored. Karam also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who will cherish the memories they shared.
A private celebration of life will be held on July 29th at Phoenix Country Club to honor his remarkable life.
