Beloved husband of Emilia McCarthy (n?e Barone); loving father of Jean (Chris) Ray, Jim Jr. (Ann) McCarthy, Adina (Dick) Tracy; dear grandfather “Pop Pop” of Taylor, Jordan (Kelcy), Emmie, Hannah, and Zachary; dear great-grandfather of Taron; dear brother of Charles (Rose) and the late Mary (Bill) McCartney; dear uncle and friend to many.

Born April 7, 1938 in Pittsburgh, PA to James and Adina McCarthy. Attended St. Joseph Church/School, Central Catholic High School (’56), and Duquesne University (’60). Married August 13, 1960 in Bayonne, NJ. Served in the US Army and Reserves. Had a career in the insurance industry with Allstate and Prudential. Served in the Knights of Columbus at St. Maria Goretti Parish. Jim will be fondly remembered and dearly missed.
